The Hurricane name now resurfaces. The Hurricane II is similar to a Tornado 7" diameter two ribbon machine, but without the Lotta Volts voltage booster system. If you operate in a permanent indoors location where your voltage never goes below 105, then this machine is ideal. The Hurricane II produces mountains of floss. 3600 Watts.
Twin Wind Two-Colour Cotton Candy Machine (#3019)
While this looks like a Tornado, there actually are two spinning sugar compartments - each feeds its own heating element consecutively. Total production a little more than 50% of a Tornado. Same cabinet size, 3600 watts maximum.
X-15A Stainless Steel Whirlwind (#3015A)
One-third horsepower sealed ball bearing motor, Whirlgrip Floss Stabilizer and 25" ID spun aluminium floss bowl included. 1800 Watts.
Deluxe Whirlwind (#3008E)
The Deluxe Whirlwind is the favourite of the pro who likes to make three colour floss on the midway - you'll see these more successful operators working in a concession trailer with three Deluxe Whirlwinds. Every
Tornado built since the mid 1950s has featured a built-in voltage booster
system. The #3005 also features a variable electronic heat control and
a huge auto transformer.
Like
the #3005E above, this model features a large fixed transformer plus a
variable transformer and the ability to boost or buck incoming line voltage.
In
1951, Gold Medal introduced the "Hurricane" Floss machine -
a triple deck 5.5" floss band.
The
only "two-colour" Cotton Candy machine.
The
Whirlwind has been the standard of the Candy Floss Industry for over 50
years. Today, the electronic heat control makes it even more dependable.

System. The variable heat control today is a solid state, electronic control.
A
large fixed transformer plus a variable transformer give you pinpoint
heat control in the boost or buck range. The Deluxe Whirlwind features
four brushes for longer brass life.
This
machine is like the #3008SS shown above, except there is the high output
baser between the upper and lower floss band and ribbon assembly. This
extra three quarters of an inch coupled with the leather floaters creates
a little more "separation" and gives you more volume of Cotton
Candy per ounce of sugar. It is truly a super high output Deluxe Whirlwind.
